Hello there! Welcome to my world of alpine landscapes.

 

My name is Franziska Krauss and I am an artist living in a remote mountain village in the Swiss Alps.

I find the inspiration for my paintings in the awe-inspiring beauty of nature that surrounds me every day.

One of the things I value most about living in this remote village is the silence. It allows me to fully immerse myself in my art and connect with the mountains on a deeper level. The presence of the imminent mountains, the ever-changing seasons, the special light that illuminates this landscape, and the clouds that seem to dance around the mountain peaks, provide a constant source of inspiration and motivation.

I have always loved hiking, and I often find myself taking long walks with my dog to explore the breathtaking scenery that surrounds us.

My goal is to capture the essence of these alpine landscapes on canvas, to share the beauty that I see with you. Each painting is a unique expression of my love for this place and my desire to share it with the world.

I work primarily with oil paints, which allow me to create vibrant, textured pieces that reflect the rugged beauty of the Alps.

For my daily digital painting exercise, I utilize the Procreate app, which is particularly helpful in refining the lighting and value components of my artwork.

I strive to create artwork that is both beautiful and speaks to the heart. And that lets us connect to our human authenticity.
